3.6 AI Ethics and Limitations
Generative AI is powerful but not perfect. It can produce confident but wrong information (called "hallucination"), it can repeat unfair bias found in its training data, and it can be misused to create fake images or misleading text. Knowing these limits helps you use AI responsibly.
For example, if a student asks an AI for the date of an Ethiopian historical event, the AI might state a wrong year very confidently. A careful student checks important facts against a trusted source before using them.
