Numbers 0–20

In this lesson you will learn the numbers from 0 to 20 in Mandarin Chinese. You will count, say prices in birr, and tell how many things you want. The small letters under each word (pinyin) show you how to say it.

阿贝贝在亚的斯亚贝巴的市场买咖啡。他问:"多少钱?"萨拉说:"十五块。"阿贝贝想买两杯,所以他说:"我要两杯,三十块。"他给萨拉钱。萨拉笑着说:"谢谢!"

To ask a price, say "多少钱?" (duōshao qián? = how much money?). In Ethiopia the answer is in birr (块/kuài in everyday Chinese), e.g. "十块" (shí kuài = ten birr).
