Days, time & weather
In this lesson you will learn the days of the week, how to ask "what time is it?", and a few weather words like hot, cold and rain. These help you make plans and talk about your day.

今天是星期六。在阿迪斯阿贝巴，天气很好。早上不冷也不热。阿贝贝说：“现在几点？” 哈娜说：“现在九点。我们去市场吧。” 他们买咖啡，喝热咖啡。下午下雨了，但是他们很高兴。
To describe weather, Chinese often uses 很 (hěn) before the word: 很热 (hěn rè) = "very hot", 很冷 (hěn lěng) = "very cold". Here 很 is a small linking word — you do not always need a verb like "is".
