Comparing & opinions
In this lesson you will learn to compare two things and to share your opinion in Chinese. You will use 比 (bǐ, than) to say one thing is bigger, cheaper or better than another, and useful words like 觉得 (to think / feel), 更 (more) and 最 (most). This helps you bargain at the market in Addis Ababa, choose between two coffees, and tell a friend what you really think.

萨拉和达维特在市场买咖啡。萨拉说：「这个咖啡比那个贵，但是我觉得更好喝。」达维特看了看，说：「那个比较便宜，可是没有这个香。」他们也看了英吉拉。萨拉觉得大市场的英吉拉最好吃，价钱也跟小店一样。最后他们买了贵的咖啡和大市场的英吉拉。达维特笑着说：「你觉得贵的最好，我同意你！」
Three handy words: 更 (gèng, even more) for "this one is even better", 比较 (bǐjiào, relatively / rather) for "that one is rather cheap", and 同意 (tóngyì, to agree). To politely disagree, say 我不同意 (wǒ bù tóngyì) = "I do not agree". Remember 觉得 (juéde) = to think / to feel.
