News, trends and change
In this lesson you will learn to talk about news, trends and change — reading the news, describing how habits are changing, and saying what has become more or less common. We will use 越来越… (more and more), 随着… (along with / as), the change marker 了, and 不再… (no longer), so you can describe trends and compare today with the past.

Useful news and trend words: 新闻 (xīnwén, news), 报纸 (bàozhǐ, newspaper), 记者 (jìzhě, journalist), 变化 (biànhuà, change), 发展 (fāzhǎn, develop / development), 流行 (liúxíng, popular / trending), 科技 (kējì, technology), 互联网 (hùliánwǎng, the internet). To say "compared with the past", use 跟以前比 (gēn yǐqián bǐ).
