Daily routines & habits

Goal: describe what you do every day in the present simple, and say how often it happens with the words always, usually, sometimes, and never.

I always wake up early in the morning.

Abebe lives in Addis Ababa and he has a busy daily routine. He always wakes up at six o'clock and washes his face with cold water. Before work, he usually makes strong buna for his family because he loves the smell of fresh coffee. He sometimes buys fresh bread at the small shop near his house, but he never skips breakfast. After work he often visits the market, where Almaz sells fruit and vegetables. In the evening they sometimes watch the news together, and Abebe always goes to bed before ten o'clock so that he is not tired the next day.

Tip: try to describe your own morning out loud. Start every sentence with 'I always...', 'I usually...', 'I sometimes...', or 'I never...'.
