Weather uses the verb 'faire'. Ask: 'Quel temps fait-il?' (What's the weather like?). Answer: il fait beau (it's nice), il fait froid (it's cold), il fait chaud (it's hot), il pleut (it's raining), il y a du soleil (it's sunny).
