1.20 The Verb 'to go' (Aller)

'Aller' (to go) is the fourth essential irregular verb, after être, avoir and faire. Forms: je vais, tu vas, il/elle va, nous allons, vous allez, ils/elles vont. 'Je vais au travail' (I go to work), 'Tu vas à un rendez-vous?' (Are you going to an appointment?). It also builds the near future: 'je vais manger'.
